Dual 1(+/-)N Back
At the time of this videos creation, a study had been published reviewing the "five possible mechanisms underlying the effects of adaptive dual n-back training on working memory (i.e., improvements in executive attention, updating, and focus switching, as well as increases in the capacity of the focus of attention and short-term memory)."
Dual N-Back are games which emit both an auditory and visual response, then test how far back you are able to remember both stimuli, thus the N-Back. This video works in 1(+/-) intentionally, to help convey the importance of memory while watching video.
Is it my audio informing the photos, or the photos informing the audio? More importantly, why am I making these connections? Is it through visual, language, or action association? It may be of some interest to learn that one of my closer friends was able to make out some of the associations' origins. What does this say about the nature of video?
